The Northeast Surf Kayakers' website promotes the building of a community from Nova Scotia to New Jersey. While surfing opportunities in the northeast are not widely recognized by others outside the area, we are seeing a growing number of active surf paddlers. This forum provides a place for Northeast surf paddlers to hear about what's going on in the region, to meet other cold water surf addicts, and to share the stoke! "No rules and no dues" apply. Surf paddling is inherently dangerous. As such, each surf paddler must take sole and full responsibility for being aware of the conditions, his/her skills and the decision whether to enter into the water or not. It is also the responsibility of every paddler to understand and follow the rules of Surf Etiquette. This is a community of "equals" who embrace fully the individual responsibility that comes with the freedom to surf. Each session in the surf is an opportunity to share our knowledge, experience and love for "dancing on the wave." Feel free to sign-up. We hope to see you here and in the line up! |
